Tips For Your Website – Mobile Friendly Websites

Mobile friendly websites design means; the design of the website layout changes and fits into the shape of viewing screen area. The design also renders to that same size screen making it easier for viewers to navigate.

These days it’s easy to say that 90% of the population have a smart phone. And its a no-brainer that your website needs to be mobile friendly website design. I feel that this is enough explanation and should finish my blog here. However today so many websites aren’t mobile responsive.

On April 21, 2015, Google released a significant new mobile friendly website design ranking algorithm that’s designed to give a boost to mobile-friendly pages in Google’s mobile search results. In web land this update was called “mobilegeddon”.

In 2015 I was working at one of the largest website companies here in Australia. And mobilegeddon had a similar scaremongering as to Y2K. It was one of (if not the biggest) shake up in web history (maybe not but I’ll just run with that) I recall angry customers ringing up claiming that Google is not going to see their website any more. I explained that Google is all about “user experience” and with the ever increasing of smart phones, and people are more and more viewing websites on their phones. Furthermore, Google is a robot and has a list of criteria it is programmed to look for within a website, and one of these criterias is mobile responsive and this obviously helps determine where your page ranks.
